Rockville Chiropractor Dr. Steve Wander UH OH, my neck!!!!!!!

One morning I woke up and I couldn't turn my head and was in extreme pain. I told my friend to take me to the hospital, but she said that if I went to the hospital, I would most likely wait forever and it would be very expensive, especially because I did not have health insurance. Since I couldn't drive, I reluctantly went to see her chiropractor, where they did an exam and took some xrays. They explained why I had the pain and the problem and gave me the solution and treatment options. I was amazed at my results. After the treatment not only was I pain-free, but I was performing better in all of my sports and hobbies. After a few more treatments, a bell went off in my head and I said this was going to be my profession. That was over 20 years ago and now, here we are.

I have always been interested in health, sports and science, but I didn't know how to combine all of my interests in terms of a profession. I started as a personal trainer, but after my chiropractic experience, I immediately found my calling. I first received my undergraduate degree in Nutrition (summa cum laude) and then my Doctorate in Chiropractic, both from Life University in Atlanta Georgia.

I am married to Letisha, whose family hails from South America. We have two sons, Lucas (born in Oct 2006) and Logan (born in Oct 2008). We have two dogs, Morgan (a yellow lab) and Leo (a South African Mastiff) who weighs in at 150 pounds. I enjoy all sports especially boxing, martial arts and football. I love to read, exercise, cook and spend time with my family.

I get adjusted once a week, try to eat healthy and work out on a regular basis. I have not taken any medication for about 15 years except for getting my wisdom teeth removed. I think it is very important to practice what I preach!!

Rockville Chiropractor Dr. Llily Moezi I’m Dr. Lily Moezi-Vaziri. I was born in New Orleans Louisiana and therefore love creole food and fishing in the bayou. This also gives me a great sense of Southern culture and hospitality. I enjoy extreme sports including: sky diving, skiing and all water sports. I speak Farci and enjoy traveling with friends.

I graduated from George Mason University with a degree in Biology. While learning about how the body worked during this part of my education, I decided becoming a chiropractor made the most sense with helping people reach their health goals. After I became a patient only reinforced that decision. That brought me to San Jose, California where I attended and graduated from Palmer Chiropractic College West.

Introducing Rockville Chiropractor Dr. Marc Mizzer

Rockville Chiropractor Dr. Marc Mizzer I’m Dr. Marc Mizzer and a native Marylander. My passion for Chiropractic began in 1997 when I became a patient after a sports related injury. I was amazed at how well I felt following my treatment and how quick my body healed. I believe that growing up participating in athletics and then becoming a patient and then later a Doctor of Chiropractic has given me a unique perspective and solid background in spinal injury and corrective care. My goal is to help ALL people, young and old, reach their optimal health potential through Chiropractic. I contribute my full and rapid recovery to the corrective care I received following my injury.

Based on my results after graduating from Penn State University, I went to Life Chiropractic College West in Hayward, California. I recently returned to the DC metro area after practicing in Louisville, Kentucky. I reside in Montgomery County with my wife Shana, 6 year old stepson Ethan and 1 year old Mason.

Why is a "slipped disc" unlikely?
Separating each spinal vertebra is a disc. Its fibrous outer ring holds in a jelly-like material. Because of the way a disc attaches to the spinal bones above and below it, it can't actually "slip." However, a disc can bulge, tear, herniate, thin and collapse. But it can't slip.
What controls every cell, tissue and organ of your body?
DNA? Wrong. Immune system? Wrong? Hormones? Wrong. It's your nervous system, consisting of your brain, spinal cord and all the nerves of your body. When a chiropractor sees a Rockville patient with say, stomach problems, we want to know why the brain is unable to properly control and regulate the stomach. Which prompts us to examine the nervous system—the focus of chiropractic care.
